June13, 2018 Alert

ALERT – Bank of Utica has been made aware of a recent text message scam that involves customers receiving messages appearing to be from their financial institutions.  These messages claim that their account or debit card has been locked or compromised (which may even accurately state the person's name and/or last four of their card number) with instructions to call a phone number for resolution.

Note: Bank of Utica will never inform you of a debit card issue or contact you for a fraud notification using text messaging.  If you receive this text message, simply delete it.   If you have inadvertently provided information to an unsolicited source, please contact our Checking Account department at 315-797-2761 during normal business hours.  You can also close your debit card 24 hours a day by calling 800-472-3272.
