Message from the President

Mission Statement

We have four basic components that govern how we function and define our corporate culture. We will endeavor to:

Treat ethically our customers and creditors, which is as we would want to be treated.

Support and contribute to our Greater Utica community, recognizing all that we have is an outgrowth of it.

Treat our employees fairly, with our loyalty towards them engendering their loyalty to us.

Earn as attractive a return as possible for our shareholders, commensurate with our unique risk profile, paying particular attention to the long-term interests of the Bank, so long as the above first three items are not compromised.

Message from the President

Thank you for taking a gander at our Bank of Utica website. For some history, we were founded way back in 1927 by my grandfather, John J. Sinnott, as the Morris Plan Company of Utica which was a kind of personal finance company which made loans to folks who didn't want to borrow at pawn shops or weren't rich enough to get a loan from a traditional bank. Under the presidency of my father, Roger J. Sinnott, from 1950 to 2000, we became and continue to be the bank with the largest presence in our Greater Utica/Oneida County area. We will forever and a day strive to provide you with traditional as well as cutting edge banking products and services, and promise to always support our greater Utica community. We recognize everything we have is due to those we serve. My son Barry as the fourth generation is waiting in the wings to continue our legacy. Because we focus on building relationships that transcend generations, you can be sure that our staff, officers, directors, and the Sinnott family appreciate your trust, and the continuing opportunity of serving you in the future. We promise to do everything we can to assure your satisfaction.

Tom Sinnott
President
